Ranch Sorting originated in the USA and has been in Western Australia since 2016 and has grown in leaps and bounds.  The basic idea is to move the cattle from one round yard to the other in numerical order within your time limit.  Sounds easy right? Just don't get a cow through in the wrong order as that results in a no time disqualification. 

 

There are many classes available from beginner horses and riders right through to the very experienced.  All riders are rated nationally from 1 (beginner) through to 9 (exceptionally experienced) and if it's your first time ranch sorting we ask that you complete a new ranch sorting member survey form along with your entry form so we can provisionally rate you for your first competition.
